Boulevards Words and music by Bobby Barth Published by Frowning Monkey Music |
I spend my time
on the boulevards thats the way its always been
And the engines whine and the pistons pound and the girls turn boys to men
I'm never gonna leave here I'm always gonna stay but its getting kind of cold
outside
Pretty soon my buddies will see me standing out here pull over stop and give
me a ride
I spend my time
on the boulevards thats life that I had planned
I don't need no job I've got my reputation and everyone knows who I am
They say I bought myself a one way ticket but the problem is I don't even
mind
I've got all of my friends and my own private corner you can find me standing
here anytime
I will count these
endless lights
Cause this city's blood flows through my veins
As the sirens split the night
I will stand here helpless in my chains
I spend my time
on the boulevards watching people change
My friends are looking older their faces looking different some times I don't
remember their names
In fact I guess I'm lying cause its been a long time since I recognized anyone
Sometimes people honk and act like they know me but I think that their just
making fun
I will count these
endless lights
Cause this city's blood flows through my veins
